Asus has released many Smartphones with different prices. If you’re looking for a budget phone, the Asus Zenfone Go (ZC500TG) can be an option. It is not always necessary to spend big bucks on a phone because many of the powerful ones come with low price tags.
Design Asus Zenfone Go (ZC500TG)
Design-wise, the Asus Zenfone Go (ZC500TG) is similar to the other Zenfone series. You will get this impression the moment you see the box. There are essential things in the box, including a USB cable and a charger. The device is pretty compact for most hands. It is available in 5 colors. If you don’t like the regular white and black models, there are gold, red, and blue. This device is pretty thick, but the curvy back creates the illusion of a slimmer body. The back cover is detachable, which is a big deal for those who are not into unibody designs. If something happens that requires you to remove the battery, just open up the cover. There is a 2070 mAh lithium battery inside that can last a day on modest use.
Display Asus Zenfone Go (ZC500TG)
This version of Zenfone Go has a 5-inch IPS display. The resolution is 1280×720 pixels, offering a pixel density of 294 ppi. IPS technology really helps with the viewing angles. You know it is bad when a screen can’t be seen from certain angles. Thankfully, this technology has overcome the issue. Not just that, but the color reproduction is also natural.
Performance Asus Zenfone Go (ZC500TG)
Under the hood, there is a quad-core MediaTek M6580 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. As for the internal storage, there are two choices. You can choose between 8GB and 16GB. This space seems insufficient especially in an age where digital data is the norm. Well, at least the phone has a microSD card slot on board. It can handle up to 64GB, which is more than enough to keep personal data like music and images. Performance is nothing to write home about, but it is expected for the price point. It does decently in various aspects, including multitasking.
The Android version on this phone is Android 5.1 Lollipop. While not the newest, the update is still pretty fresh. In the meantime, the audio doesn’t sound distorted as long as you don’t turn up the volume to the max. If the speaker doesn’t impress you that much, just switch to a headphone. As we all know, the quality of a headphone has a major influence on audio quality. Or connect it to an external speaker for better sound quality. The Asus Zenfone Go (ZC500TG) doesn’t have the highest resolution camera, but resolution is not everything. It doesn’t always go hand-in-hand with image quality. The front-facing camera is only 2 megapixels, pretty moderate, but perfectly fine for video calls. The rear camera is equipped with an LED flash for low-light shooting. The results are decent and comparable to other devices in its price range. The best thing about the camera is that it has so many modes, like HDR, slow motion, panorama, etc. They can make your photos feel more special.
