The HP ENVY Curved AIO strikes a perfect balance between beauty and performance. This makes an ideal choice for home workstation. What’s interesting about the All-In-One PC? Find out more below.
The new HP ENVY Curved AIO looks sleek and simple. There are 2 individual parts which are connected by a metal arm. As usual, the most striking part is the screen. It is wide, provides an ample space to get things done. The second part is the base which also serves as a soundbar. For your information, the display can tilt. However, it doesn’t come with height adjustment settings. It is important to elevate the top edge on your eye level to avoid fatigue.
Placing it too high can cause tension in your back, which is definitely not healthy especially if you spend a lot of time on computer. For those liking sharp designs, the new Envy really delivers. It may lack the prettiness of the previous model, but it is still beautiful to say the least. The base is also functional. Just take a look at the front of the base. It is dedicated as a soundbar. There are also a wireless charging pad and a volume wheel nearby. (Also read: Lenovo Ideacentre AIO 910 review)
You will not only be fascinated with the size of the display, but also its quality. Such a wide screen is perfect for work and play. It has a 21:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. The display is spectacular in every sense of the word. Due to the large size, it can be hard to watch videos. Most videos are not designed to be displayed on such wide screens. Even if there is much space left, it is not a big deal considering the quality is the most important factor. There are certain videos that can fit in perfectly, though. You just need to pick the right movies. To say that the screen is good is an understatement. You need to look at it in person to see how gorgeous the display is.
It is equipped with a quad-core processor. It puts enough power to run heavy-duty apps simultaneously. You can get things done without experiencing major performance issues. Other essential specs you need to know include Radeon RX 460 Graphics (4 GB RAM) and an Intel Core-i7-7700T microprocessor. It also comes with two types of storage, a 1 TB HDD and a 256 GB SSD. This configuration reminds us of the older model, but this time both drives don’t come together as a hybrid drive. They are kept separate, instead.
How reliable is this PC for gaming? While many computers are built solely for office needs, the HP ENVY Curved AIO is powerful enough to double as a gaming machine. Certain games like the Valiant Hearts: The Great War demand higher specs to run smoothly. Thankfully, the PC can handle many of those games without a problem. The only issue is when a game doesn’t exactly fit in the screen or simply stretches. If you notice any performance issues, just adjust the visual settings to medium. It will probably help solve the problems. As for software, the PC runs on Windows 10 Home or Pro.
