The Moto Xoom tablet was surrounded by so much hype when it was introduced with Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The next generation, however, failed to meet people’s expectations. But the new Moto Tab shows that the company is willing to step up its game. The tablet sports a 10.1-inch full HD display. It also has rear and front cameras.

The Moto Tab isn’t going to be the brightest star in the sky. Judging by the processor, it will fit in the mid-range category. There’s nothing wrong with that. Not all tablets pack powerful features. And when they do, they will be much more expensive. The chipset isn’t something a gaming device would offer, but it will likely affect power efficiency like what happens to the Blackberry KEYone. The best part is the battery is going to be big, 7,000 mAh. You can expect a durable battery life from this combination. What makes it better is it has a USB Type C for fast charging. You don’t have to wait for too long until it reaches full capacity. There’s also a fingerprint scanner which can save up to 7 profiles.

The Lenovo Moto Tab runs Android 7.1. Though it’s not the first to have this version, it’s still exciting because there will be changes to the software. Once they’re implemented, users can enjoy improvements in terms of productivity and entertainment. One of the examples is swiping left from the lock screen will take you to AT&T-owned directv. As for apps, being AT&T exclusive means it will be flooded with AT&T apps, like a Kids Mode. This mode helps filter content, so that kids can safely view it. There’s also the Home Assistant pack, which serves to improve content by offering dual mics and a 3w speaker

This tablet is perfect to keep you occupied during long hauls. But given the specs, it’s probably more suited for children because they rarely demand high-performing tablets. For watching and enjoying multimedia content, the Lenovo Moto Tab is very reliable. The design is pretty, too. It’s very slim and has a smooth back. Under the hood is a 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 2GB of RAM for multitasking. To store files, the company includes 32GB of internal storage which can later be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The external memory doesn’t come in the package. If you need any, buy one separately.

There are a few things you should check out. The first one is TV mode. Switching to this mode will transform the tablet into a multimedia powerhouse. You can access favorite shows at the drop of a hat. It takes a single swipe to view movies that you like. The audio quality is also impressive thanks to the Dolby Atmos technology. It’s an undisputed king when it comes to surround sound. It will bring the ultimate cinema sound experience right to your device.

Another interesting thing about the tablet is it’s built for sharing. Besides all the modes already mentioned, there’s also the Multi-User mode which is designed for this purpose. So to those who love to share stuff with family members, this device will help. With no contract, the Lenovo Moto Tab is sold for $299.99. But with an installment program, you just have to pay $15 a month for 20 months.
