Bezel-less Smartphones are getting so much attention these days. Not so long ago, Xiaomi introduced Mi Mix, now we can see other manufacturers hopping on the trend. There are many handset that feature all-screen designs, such as the Huawei Mate 10 and Galaxy S8. One thing that becomes noticeable from these phones is they come at higher prices than those with thick bezels. But don’t worry, some companies have released cheaper alternatives, so you don’t have to spend big bucks on one. Your best bet of getting an affordable bezel-less phone is one that’s made by a Chinese manufacturer. Phones coming from the country is known for their affordable prices and high specs. Here’s the M-Horse Pure 1.

As a phone that comes in an all-screen design and 4G connectivity, the M-Horse Pure 1 is pretty affordable. It has a premium look, which shows from its aluminum body. The top portion of the front is dual selfie cameras. There are also a proximity sensor and speaker nearby. It’s usually the rear camera that offers this configuration. Well, the rear camera is a dual setup, too. Apart from the aforementioned features, the phone has a fingerprint sensor, volume rockers and power button on the left.

The specs aren’t that special because you can find other Chinese Smartphones with 5.7″ IPS LCD HD displays. The resolution is pretty high and it gets better thanks to the 18:9 aspect ratio. This way, you’ll enjoy watching movies a lot more because there’s no cropped part as long as the resolution fits. When it comes to colors, there are better displays out there. But, we can’t lie that it’s pretty sharp and produces vivid colors. The resolution could’ve been higher given the screen size, but it’s good, nonetheless.

Camera has always been the most sought-after feature in a phone. The fact that it packs quad cameras really boosts its appeal because many handsets barely have high-resolution sensors, let alone 4 of them. The rear camera setup consists of 8 MP and 2 MP sensors. Considering the lenses are by Sony, expect quality shots. In broad daylight, the results show lots of detail. Colors are also nice, but once it’s brought indoors, the dual cameras start to struggle. The front also has two sensors, 5 MP and 2 MP. You can use them to take selfies. They deliver decent quality, not to mention that some beauty effects are also on board.

On the paper, the M-Horse Pure 1 doesn’t pack hardware that makes it stand out of the crowd. These specs can basically be found in other low-cost Chinese Smartphones. Aside from a quad-core 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6737T SoC, there’s also 3GB of RAM under the hood. The performance isn’t particularly snappy, but still usable. There shouldn’t be a problem if you use the phone to run daily tasks like browsing and streaming. But for gaming, it’s a different story. You’d need best-in-class specs to run RAM-intensive games and other heavy apps.
