The Samsung Notebook 9 Pro is available in two screen sizes, 13 and 15 inches. Despite the difference, Samsung decided to add similar specs to both devices. This applies to the hardware, including the processor and memory. For example, both are powered by core i7 processors. Both also feature the same amount of RAM, 16GB.
Design Samsung Notebook 9 Pro
The Notebook 9 Pro has an interesting design. It looks more curvaceous especially in the lid and keyboard deck. As you open the lid, you will notice thin bezels. It is a good decision considering it gives more space to the display without making the laptop bulky. It weighs 3.79 pounds, not the lightest, but still understandable due to the large screen. Aside from the nifty design, the keyboard deck offers so much comfort while typing.
Screen Samsung Notebook 9 Pro
Display is another area where the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro shines. Samsung has always been known for its stunning displays. It isn’t any different with the Notebook 9 Pro. If you own one of the flagships, you will feel familiar with this laptop’s display. The colors pop, while the picture looks sharp thanks to the 1080p resolution. Another feature worth-mentioning is RealView, which allows it to shine at 350 nits in normal mode. It can go higher up to 450 nits for outdoor use. Not all laptops do well on the outside. Some, despite packing the ultimate features, still do poorly in overly bright environments. This one may have a glossy panel, but the high level of brightness ensures that you can still read the text outdoors. (Also Read : Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Offers a Stylus and a Keyboard Case)
If you call yourself a fan, you must’ve had a hands-on experience with the S Pen. It is not a new offering from Samsung. But for this new laptop series, the S Pen gets a few improvements. Windows 10 has a few updates to make it work better with the S Pen. For you information, the pen that comes with the new device is similar to that of the Note 8. It refers to the size and levels of pressure sensitivity. The difference is the new one comes with a plastic casing, so that it can be attached to the chassis more easily. As for functionality, it is very accurate. You can use it to sign documents, edit photos, doddle, and doing other fun stuff.
Keyboard and touchpad
While the S Pen offers so much simplicity, you can still use the touchpad to maneuver through menus. Some people still love this old method of operating a laptop. The Samsung Notebook 9 Pro has a large touchpad, making it comfortable to use. The accuracy is also impressive.
Performance Samsung Notebook 9 Pro
With a core i7 Processor on board, performance is decent although it is more suitable for business use. Gaming does fairly well especially for casual games. Don’t expect it to run heavy-duty games smoothly because the device is not designed for this purpose. The Processor is paired with 16GB of DDR4, which means you have plenty of room for multitasking. You can open browsers with multiple tabs, edit documents, and do other things at the same time without a problem. Meanwhile, the battery lasts around 6 to 8 hours. Part of the reason why the battery lasts that long is because the Windows 10 has battery-saving improvements.
