Like many other Chinese tablets, the Teclast P10 are not only cheap, but also reliable. Despite being affordable, the tablet offers numerous features that make it compelling to buy.

The Teclast P10 has a usual rectangle shape with rounded corners. Although pretty big, it still feels solid in the hand. The exterior is made of aluminum, not bad given its reasonable price. This kind of material is more common in high-end tablets, so you should be happy with this one. The edges look enchanting because they have gone through a process called CNC crafting. The screen is large and it measures 10 inches diagonally. For that size, the 1920 x 1200 resolution is pretty high. At the bottom, you can find an array of buttons to help navigate through menus. On the front there is also a 2MP camera. It’s not a high resolution, but tablets rarely pack high resolution cameras because these devices aren’t Smartphones.

The screen is IPS with a resolution like already mentioned. The surface looks like it has an extra coating because it doesn’t pick up scratches easily. However, it’s unclear whether the protection is Gorilla Glass or another type, but it’s resistant either way. Colors look good and we personally love the wide viewing angles. Readability in direct sunlight is also terrific. Text can still be read because the maximum brightness is high.

Camera isn’t the main talking point. Well, in its defense, camera has never a deal breaker especially when it comes to tablets. What most people look for in this device is great performance because many use these devices to play games. Smartphones can play games, too, but what makes tablets more attractive is they typically have larger screens, so playing games feels more enjoyable. The Teclast P10 has a 5MP camera on the back, while the front is a 2MP sensor. As expected, the quality is nothing to write home about. This is clearly not something you should buy for its camera because the performance in this area is lacking. But then again, it has a massive 5200mah to make up for it. It provides 4 to 5 hours of screen-on time.

Keep in mind that the tablet only costs $130, so the specs are acceptable. It features a Rockchip RK3368 1.5GHz Octa Core processor, while the graphics processing is handled by PowerVR SGX6110. For multitasking, the company equips it with 2GB of RAM. With these specs, the tablet manages to be a powerhouse. While it’s not the fastest in the game, it does exceptionally well especially when compared to others in its price range. The processor cranks out enough power to load heavy apps. Gaming is also decent, but to ensure smoothness, you need to adjust the settings. It comes with 32GB of built-in storage. If you need more to store files, there is a 64GB variant as well. Don’t forget that the memory is expandable via a microSD card.
