If you need a headset for your Xbox One, consider the Turtle Beach Stealth 700. Gaming headsets come in a broad range of prices. In choosing a decent headset, you have to check out the features first. This headset is great for a number of reasons. The cups are pretty comfortable although they can be somewhat tight. It also packs a battery that lasts around 10 hours. To recharge it, you can use a USB cable.

Design

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 has a signature turtle design. We don’t find it polarizing at all. For those who are into quirky designs, this probably won’t spark your interest. Well, there are many people who prefer straightforward designs. If you’re one of them, then the headset will be tempting to have. It’s black all around with green accents here and there. The left ear cup comes equipped with essential ports and buttons. The volume knobs are also added to this side of the headset. You will need them for chatting. Additionally, there is a 3.5mm headset jack that allows you to connect it to external devices. As for the microUSB port, it is necessary for charging. On the outer part, there is an array of buttons for Bluetooth and power.

Setup

It’s easy to connect the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 to your Xbox thanks to the wireless technology. This eliminates the need for a dongle. Since it already includes built-in wireless functionality, you just need to press the sync button for pairing. There’s no need to look for a transmitter or something. In other words, pairing is easy. If only all Xbox headphones were designed this way, the setup process would be hassle-free.

Comfort

It’s not the best headset as far as convenience is concerned. There’s no denying that the design is awesome, but the ear cups don’t provide the ultimate comfort. It will take time to get used to them. Besides, the cushioning also doesn’t feel that cushy. If you compare it to the HyperX Cloud Alpha, it’s easy to tell the difference. Well, at least it doesn’t drag your face down for being too heavy. It’s actually the opposite. For the size, the headset feels lightweight. And if you wear eyeglasses, don’t worry because it offers a technology called Prospecs to boost comfort.

Sound quality

We like the fact that the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 doesn’t lack bass. Heck, it can be too much sometimes. If you find the bass overpowering, then adjust the volume. The treble also adds more energy to the audio. This is how a gaming headset is supposed to be. Try to test it with different games, so that you know if it delivers or not. Every element can be heard clearly. Like when you play an action game, kicks, punches, and explosions generate lively sounds. They’re like surrounding us and creating an immersive experience.

The microphone also does its job well although the size can be deceiving. It picks up voice clearly, but a volume increase is highly appreciated. It has Bluetooth connectivity for pairing with another device other than the Xbox. This means you can listen to music on your phone while playing game at the same time. The sounds from both sources will be heard.
